Mr. Wu Peng, the Director-General of the Department of African Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China and the Secretary General of the Chinese Follow-up Committee of FOCAC, has undertaken a visit to South Africa from 8th to 13th June 2022.
During the visit, Mr Wu met with Ms. Candith Mashego-Dlamini, Deputy Foreign Minister of DIRCO, and held a talk with Mr. Zane Dangor, Director-General of DIRCO. Mr Wu also held a symposium to communicate with South African scholars. Both side exchange views on broad topics including China-South Africa and China-Africa relations, joint implementation of the outcome of the Eighth FOCAC Ministerial Conference, as well as global and regional issues of common interest.
